Working with at-risk youth facing homelessness, addiction, trauma, and mental health struggles for the past 3 years has deeply informed how Marcus practices as a student therapist. These experiences created a depth of compassion as he begins his work with couples, families, and individuals.
Marcus has a specialty in understanding trauma’s impact on the mind and body, attachment and social development, and how environmental influences shape one’s life. He is interested in utilizing these interpersonal dynamics in therapy by creating a relaxed but effective relationship with clients.
As a first-generation university student, Marcus carries a unique knowledge of systemic challenges that plague clients, helping address difficulties in an anti-racist and trauma-informed manner. Rediscovering one’s own power is a value Marcus strongly carries that he aims to share with his clients.
